My name is Katherine May and I look forward to helping you create a life that is peaceful, fruitful, and full of beauty. I believe in helping people build on their strengths, gain insight, and develop effective coping skills. It can be difficult to open up and begin working on personal issues, and I like to tailor our therapy to the individual or family. I always welcome feedback about what is or is not helping.
My professional experience has included working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. I work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, work stress, adjustment issues, and life transition issues. I especially enjoy working with first responders and those in social services and the medical field, to cope with crisis situations and secondary trauma. My other passion is working with people experiencing work stress and learning how to establish boundaries to maintain a positive work-life balance.
