Cindy Branch, LCSW
Certified Psychodramatist (CP)
Cindy has been working in the mental health field close to three decades. She graduated from The University of Georgia with a Masters in Social Work and holds an advanced state license (LCSW), and is a Certified Psychodramatist (CP). Cindy has spent the last 16 years in private practice and currently sees clients Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Athens Center for Emotional Healing. She accepts all major insurances. “I JUST WANT TO BE HAPPY” is the most common statement (and goal) that Cindy hears from her clients. Depending on the person and their current life challenges, that can mean: getting rid of / or coping with depression, worry, anxiety, life changes, grief, anger, trauma (past and present), couple / marital / family problems, professional challenges, complications of addiction and finding recovery, life balance, and a whole host of “others” that can come between the client and their “happiness” and sense of wellbeing. Cindy is client centered and action oriented in her approach to working with people, utilizing talk therapy, solution focused, experiential, role theory, role play, and psycho-education (to name a few!). Cindy views and explores the client in the context of their environments and cultures which brings a fuller understanding of the “whole person” helping to find solutions to the problems, concerns, and challenges each person brings to therapy.
